Group is Nominated for the 2020 Victorian Marine and Coastal Award for Distinction in Biodiversity

Members of our group use BRUVS (Baited Underwater Video Station) to collect underwater fish videos from the Point Addis Marine National Park. This is nominated for Victorian Coastal Awards for Distinction in biodiversity and Ecosystem Conservation.


This work is part of of a research partnership between Parks Victoria and Deakin University along the Great Ocean Road to document fish diversity of spectacular temperate reefs. Our work at the Point Addis Marine National Park is nominated for the 2020 Victorian Marine and Coastal Awards for Distinction in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Conservation.


The Victorian Marine and Coastal Awards 2020, are the first awards hosted by the Victorian Marine and Coastal Council (VMaCC) with the introduction of the Marine and Coastal Act 2018. The awards build on the history of the Victorian Coastal Awards, held since 2000, in celebrating the efforts and achievements of Victorians in protecting and enhancing coastal and marine environments
