Research Interests

Robert French is a Marine Technician with the marine mapping group. He has a background in fisheries and animal tracking and is key in supporting the Marine Mapping acoustic and wave buoy network. He leads biogeochemical sampling for the Bonney National Reference Station. Rob has skills in imagery analyses and contributes to stereo video image classification being highly skilled in temperate fish ID. Rob's PhD thesis was titled "Integrating Biological and Social Information to Inform Responsible Practices for Recreational Shark Fishing"
